Evy van Galen

Evy van Galen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Evy is currently working at Preply as the Head of People and Talent Strategic Initiatives since January 2024. Previously, they held the position of VP People & Culture at The Big Search from March 2023 to January 2024. Before that, they were the Head of People & Operations at The Big Search from December 2021 to March 2023 and the Head of People from January 2020 to December 2021.

Evy also served as a Board Member at HackYourFuture from January 2020 to January 2024. Prior to their time at The Big Search, they worked at DAZN as the VP Resourcing Technology and Product from November 2018 to December 2019, where they were responsible for hiring and managing a team of recruiters and coordinators. Additionally, they played the role of Recruitment Manager Technology & Product at DAZN from August 2018 to October 2018.

Before joining DAZN, Evy worked at Booking.com as a Recruitment Manager from July 2017 to July 2018 and as a Team Lead Tech Recruitment from March 2015 to June 2018. Evy started their career at Booking.com as a Technology Recruiter from May 2013 to February 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Business Service Medewerker at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek from May 2010 to April 2013.

Evy also has experience in event management as an Event Manager at Guest Republic from December 2008 to December 2011. Evy also participated in the International Research Project Marketing Association Amsterdam as a participant in the International Research Project 2011 in Brazil from December 2010 to October 2011. Additionally, they volunteered at Kinder- en Jongerenrechtswinkel Amsterdam from October 2009 to May 2011.

Evy van Galen completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Criminology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 2011. Prior to that, they also earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from VU Amsterdam, spanning from 2006 to 2011. Before their university studies, Evy attended Koning Willem ll College in Tilburg from 1999 to 2005, where they completed their VWO.
