Vadym Vlasenko

Vadym Vlasenko has a diverse and extensive work experience in software engineering and management roles. Vadym is currently the Director of Engineering at Preply, where they oversee the engineering department. Prior to this, they served as the Head of App Engineering at Preply, responsible for managing the development of mobile applications. Before joining Preply, Vadym worked as an Engineering Manager at the same company, where they focused on managing and coordinating engineering projects.

Before their tenure at Preply, Vadym worked at Intellias as an Engineering Lead/Technical Product Manager. Vadym led software engineering teams in the Autonomous driving domain, with a focus on Big data processing and building High Definition maps for autonomous vehicles. Vadym utilized technologies such as Scala, Java, Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Vadym also worked at Vistaprint as a Lead Software Engineer, where they developed real-time recommendation pipelines using machine learning models to enhance the customer experience. Vadym collaborated with data science and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and worked within the Hadoop ecosystem and cloud services like AWS and Azure.

Earlier in their career, Vadym worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Scrum Master at SDL Tridion. Vadym also worked at Art-master as a Software Engineer and at Ltd Elan as a Junior Software Engineer, gaining experience in C# .Net development and software testing.

Vadym Vlasenko completed their education at the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' from 2005 to 2011, where they earned a master's degree in applied cryptology. In 2011, Vadym obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance. Vadym also holds a certification as an ISTQB Certified Tester at the Foundation Level since 2012.
