VP, Head Of Real Assets, Research Insights at Preqin

Alex Murray has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Most recently, they served as the VP and Head of Real Assets, Research Insights at Preqin, a leading provider of data and insights to the alternative assets community. Prior to that, Alex worked as a Senior Analyst at the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA), where they developed analytics and collated datasets to improve the evidence base on public service assets. They also served as a Future Leaders Committee Member at IPFA, a network for junior members in the infrastructure and energy industry. Alex has also held positions as a Teaching Fellow at University College London, a Research Assistant at UCL, a Knowledge Transfer Associate at KPMG Corporate Finance, and an Executive Assistant at the American Chamber of Commerce in Czech Republic.

Alex Murray has an extensive education history. From 2009 to 2017, they attended UCL and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in the field of study of Whole life cost and value in public service assets. Additionally, in 2014, they completed an Elective MBA module in Equity Investment Management at the London Business School. They also attended another Elective MBA module, specifically in Financial Statement Analysis, at the same institution during the same year. In 2010, Alex obtained a Level 3 Certificate in Corporate Finance from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI). Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at both Università Ca' Foscari Venezia from 2006 to 2007 and The University of Sheffield from 2004 to 2007.
