Brad Fried is Chair of the Court of Directors of the Bank of England, which position he has held since 2018. Brad has served on the Bank’s board since 2012.
Brad co-founded the principal investment firm Grovepoint, prior to which he was Chief Executive Officer of Investec Bank plc. Before joining Investec in 1999, Brad was a partner at McKinsey & Co. in New York where he focused on strategy consulting, predominantly to banks and asset managers.
Brad holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and did his undergraduate studies at the University of Cape Town.
Brad was previously CEO-In-Residence and a Fellow in Finance at Cambridge University’s Judge Business School and is currently a Fellow at Magdalene College, Cambridge and a Governor of the London Business School.
