Ali Mehmani

Head of Core Research at Prescriptive Data

Ali Mehmani is the Head of Core Research at Prescriptive Data. Prior to joining Prescriptive Data, Mehmani was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Data Science Institute at Columbia University from March 2016 to May 2018. Mehmani's research focused on building energy management and demand response optimization. Prior to their fellowship at Columbia, Mehmani was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cornell University from May 2015 to October 2015, where they worked on improving and developing models for genomic prediction. From January 2014 to December 2014, Mehmani was a Visiting Research Scholar at the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS) at Mississippi State University. Mehmani earned their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University in December 2013, where they also served as a Graduate Research Assistant from November 2011 to December 2013. Mehmani also has experience teaching at the university level, having served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Tehran from February 2011 to May 2011 and at Khaje Nasir Toosi (K. N. Toosi) University of Technology from February 2010 to May 2010.

Ali Mehmani has a postdoctoral degree in data science from Columbia University in the City of New York. Ali also has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in mechanical engineering from Syracuse University. In addition, they are certified by the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional and as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

Ali Mehmani reports to Sonu Panda, CEO. They are on a team with Shane Eten - VP, Strategy, JJ Gilbert - Director, Sales, and Gary Chance - VP, Marketing & Partnerships.
