Shane Eten

VP, Strategy at Prescriptive Data

Shane Eten is the current Vice President of Strategy at Prescriptive Data. Shane has also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Samsung NEXT and as an Executive in Residence at Columbia Technology Ventures. In addition to their work in the corporate world, Shane has also been a mentor at Cleantech Open.

Shane Eten has always been interested in technology and its potential to change the world. After completing their undergraduate degree in economics, they went on to get their MBA from Columbia Business School. It was during their time at Columbia that they became interested in technology transfer and the commercialization of university research.

After graduation, Shane worked for a few years in the corporate world before transitioning to work full-time with startups. Shane first joined Samsung NEXT as an Entrepreneur in Residence, where they helped founders and early-stage software startups with funding, domain expertise, and more. Shane then moved on to Columbia Technology Ventures, where they worked with entrepreneurs and inventors to facilitate the transfer of research innovations from the lab to the market.

In addition to their work in the corporate world, Shane has also been a mentor at Cleantech Open, an organization that helps cleantech startups succeed. Shane is passionate about helping startups grow and scale, and they enjoy working with teams to help them achieve their goals.

Shane Eten is an MBA candidate at Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Trinity College-Hartford. Shane also has a certification from Northeastern University in Certificate in Supply Chain Management.
