Lena Muntemba

Lena Muntemba has over 10 years of professional work experience. Lena started their career in 2001 as an Office Assistant at Motolit. In 2005, they became an Activities Team Coordinator, Central Staff at the American Youth Foundation - Merrowvista. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Library Assistant at the University of Vermont and an Intern/Fellow at Grassroot Soccer. In 2010, they held three positions at Oxfam America: Campaign Coordinator, Organizing and Alliances, GROW Coordinator/Economic Justice Policy Advisor, and CHANGE Logistics Coordinator. Lena also worked as a Data Entry Team Member at Partners in Health. From 2010 to 2018, they worked at Grassroot Soccer as a Program Advisor and Site Liaison Officer. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at Ceres, Inc. as an Equitable Workplaces and Human Rights Intern and a Corporate Sustainability Research and Analysis Intern. During this same time, they were also a Senior Project Manager at Preserve, where they supported their sustainability mission by managing projects in a variety of business areas. Finally, in 2018, they became a Sustainability Research Associate at SustainabilityNext, where they conducted research and analysis for sustainability consulting firm.

Lena Muntemba has a diverse educational background. Lena obtained a Bachelor of Science in Community and International Development from the University of Vermont in 2008. Lena also studied at the University of Ghana in 2007. Prior to that, they attended Lexington High School from 2000 to 2004. In 2016, they acquired a Master's Degree in MBA in Nonprofit Management/MA in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. In 2019, they obtained GRI Certified Standards Training from the ISOS Group.
