Daphne Benderly, PhD began their career in 1988 as an R&D Scientist at BFGoodrich. In 1995 they moved to Rafael, where they served as a Group Leader and Researcher. From 2000-2002, they were a Process Engineer at CyOptics and from 2002-2004 they were a Research Scientist at Carmel Olefins. From 2004-2011, they were a Senior Research Scientist at Elementis Specialties, where they conducted research activities in the polymer nanocomposite area and developed structure property relationships for additives. Since 2011, they have been a Senior Manager Research and Discovery at Presperse Corporation - Sumitomo Corporation Group Company, where they evaluate performance of new raw materials and technologies for use in personal care formulations, designs and implements internal characterization methods to support product performance claims, collaborates with suppliers, external research institutions and consultants to develop technical data packages, and works with manufacturing partners to generate trial and pilot scale samples. In 2022, they were promoted to Director of R&D at Presperse Corporation.
Daphne Benderly, PhD has a diverse educational background. Daphne received their PhD in Materials Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Daphne then obtained an MS in Technology Management from University of Maryland Global Campus, followed by an MS in Macromolecular Science from Case Western Reserve University. Finally, they earned their BS in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
