Michel Benitez

Assistant General Counsel at Preston Hollow Capital

Michel Benitez joined Preston Hollow Community Capital in May 2015 as Assistant General Counsel. In this capacity, he is involved in structuring and closing real estate and construction loans, municipal bond investments, and structured finance transactions. Prior to joining Preston Hollow Community Capital, Mr. Benitez served as Assistant General Counsel for a Dallas-based financial services firm, where he provided legal support to the firm’s municipal finance business unit. Before that role, Mr. Benitez was a public finance attorney in the Denver office of Hogan Lovells US LLP, where he represented issuers, banks, borrowers, and underwriters in connection with taxable and tax-exempt financing transactions. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Benitez was a commercial loan underwriter. Mr. Benitez received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trinity University, a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Juris Doctor and LL.M. (Tax) from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
