Pieter Berkelaar

Pieter Berkelaar has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. In their most recent position as the Head of Product & Engineering at Previse, a Fintech company, they were responsible for product discovery, strategy, and delivery, as well as overseeing the engineering team and technology. Prior to that, they served as the Division General Manager at LegalZoom UK, where they managed operations, led business transformation, and developed new sales channels. Pieter also held various roles at BCSG, a cloud services marketplace, including Director Product Management and Global Head of Product, where they had responsibility for product portfolio PNL and people. Earlier in their career, Berkelaar worked as a Technical Director at Sigteq and as a Hardware and Software Engineer, gaining experience in system design, radio communications, circuit design, and low-level software development. Pieter also pursued a Research Masters in Integrated Circuit Design at CEVA, Inc. In their early career, they started as a Junior Engineer at Kestrel Communications.

Pieter Berkelaar obtained a Leaving Certificate (Irish National Exam) from Colaiste Muire between 1992 and 1998. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electronics Engineering at Munster Technological University from 1998 to 2002. After completing their undergraduate degree, they continued their education at the same institution and received a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Integrated Circuit Design from 2003 to 2005. In 2015, Pieter obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance.
