Chad Shelton

Chad Shelton is an experienced attorney currently practicing criminal defense at Price Benowitz LLP since November 2020. Prior to this role, Chad Shelton operated a general practice firm focusing on criminal and estate law, as well as family law, business contracts, and personal injury from July 2016 to November 2020. Chad Shelton gained extensive experience as an Assistant Public Defender at the Berkeley County Public Defender's Office, managing over 100 cases and conducting legal research from August 2007 to July 2016. Earlier internships included positions at the Federal Public Defender and the Office of Corporation Counsel, where Chad Shelton developed legal research and court observation skills. Chad Shelton holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Charleston School of Law and a BA in Political Science and Business from Valparaiso University, and continues education at the National Criminal Defense College.
