Mr. Flanigan started his software career in the early 1990's working with Dr. Jenkins to develop 3D geometry processing and translation software. After selling the source code of this software to a 3D content development company called Acuris, Inc. in 1995, he was hired by them to continue the development and expand the capabilities of the software.
In 1998, he was hired by Autodesk as a software developer and worked on the development of various products including Actix Technical, Architectural Studio, and the DWF Viewer. In 2001, while still at Autodesk, he began managing teams of developers as a project manager and later as a program manager. In 2013, Mr. Flanigan became a Certified Scrum Master and helped to introduce the Agile Scrum process methodology to a group of ten scrum teams at Envisage Information Systems, a member of the TIAA-CREF group of companies.
In 2014, he introduced, trained and coached the first Agile Scrum development team in Volvo Trucks North America and successfully led the team to design and develop a new digital driver display for their instrument panel. Jim is currently the Scrum Master and Agile coach for the Primal Space Development team.
