T.J. Carter

T.J. Carter has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. In 2010, they started as a Resident Assistant at Northern Michigan University, where they focused on building and resident safety while resolving conflicts and crises.

In 2012, T.J. worked as a Community Living Support staff at Marquette Staffing Agency, assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily activities and social development. T.J. also managed and responded to medical emergencies.

From 2013 to 2015, T.J. served as a Graduate Assistant for Training and Development at the University of Texas at Arlington, where they boosted student engagement and school spirit. T.J. supervised resident advisors and community assistants, managing programming, training, and professional development.

Starting in 2015, T.J. joined the University of San Francisco, initially as a Belonging and Inclusion Specialist, where they created an inclusive living and learning environment for first-year students. T.J. then became a Learning and Development Coordinator, designing and modernizing training programs, conducting various trainings, and cultivating cross-departmental relationships. Additionally, T.J. served as a Course Instructor, managing and updating curriculum content.

In 2021, T.J. transitioned to Primary.Health as a Field Operations Manager. In this role, they partnered with government agencies, healthcare facilities, and community-based organizations to establish safe and efficient Covid-19 Vaccination Sites in the SF Bay Area. T.J. developed site-specific layouts and workflows, ensuring up to 7,000 vaccinations were processed daily. T.J. also served as a client success manager, regularly meeting clients' needs through trainings and meetings.

In early 2022, T.J. took on the role of Strategic Project Manager at Primary.Health. T.J. led or partnered on key strategic projects and initiatives, focusing on internal process improvement, employee engagement, culture development, and external project ideation and implementation. T.J. implemented listening sessions, culture initiatives, and a monthly Skill Building & Enablement program.

T.J. Carter holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (Higher Education emphasis) from The University of Texas at Arlington. T.J. obtained this degree between 2013 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physiology, General from Northern Michigan University from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, T.J. Carter obtained a certification in Professional Crisis Management from the Professional Crisis Management Association in March 2013.
