George Phelps

George Phelps is an experienced leader in the residential mortgage industry with over 30 years of expertise. Currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors at BankSouth Mortgage since January 2017, Phelps has also held various leadership roles, including Principal at gsphelps LLC and President at Primary Capital Mortgage, where contributions to the company's expansion and strategic direction were pivotal. Prior to this, Phelps was President at Premier Lending and served as SVP and CLO at Allatoona Federal Savings Bank. Phelps began a career in mortgage lending as a Loan Officer at ICA. Educationally, Phelps attended Indiana State University and The Ohio State University.
