Richard Gendron

Richard is a long time respected and experienced banker, and was highly sought after to head up Primary Funding for his lending expertise. He joined Primary Funding Corporation in 2016 as Vice President of Operations and was named President in 2021. In this very important role he is responsible for their Operations team, loan portfolio, credit standards, underwriting group, as well continuing to help improve and administer their “Lines and Loans” programs. Prior to joining PFC, Richard spent 10-years in commercial and middle market banking; most recently as Senior Portfolio Manager at Wells Fargo. While at Wells Fargo, Richard managed a $250 million loan portfolio that consisted of both commercial & industrial clients and commercial real estate loans. Richard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from California State University San Marcos and graduated from Zions Bancorp’s Credit Foundations/Officer Development Program.

Richard is a San Diego native that resides in North County and continues to be active and well connected in the banking community. Richard and his wife Ashlee have two children and enjoy traveling and living an active San Diego lifestyle.
