Marisa Bass

Marisa is a Principal at Primary and focuses on healthcare investments, leveraging her experience to support innovative healthcare businesses reach their full potential.

After graduating from Penn, Marisa began her career at Citi in wealth management, where she had the opportunity to lead a national business model transformation, and realized she wanted to do similar work, but in healthcare. She went back to school to earn her MBA at Wharton in healthcare management. Upon graduation, Marisa took on P&L responsibility for full-risk dual-eligible programs at a health plan, Emblem Health. Marisa was an early employee at Quartet Health, a digital health startup focused on integration of mental and physical health, where she built and led sales teams focused on health plan and health system partnerships. Prior to joining Primary, Marisa was the GM of Healthcare at CLEAR, a secure identity company, where she built and scaled a healthcare vertical with novel products that touched millions of consumers. Marisa knows what it takes to get a business, product, or partnership off the ground in healthcare and is excited to take an empathy-based approach to her new role as an investor.
