Samson Maina

Samson Maina has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Samson currently holds the role of Head of Strategy and Transformation at Prime Bank Africa, where they are responsible for implementing the bank's long-term strategic plan and leading a transformation program. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Transformation & Strategic Projects at Family Bank Ltd. Maina also has experience in the telecommunications sector, having served as a Manager of Enterprise Solutions at Safaricom Limited, where they were responsible for designing communication solutions for large and medium enterprises. Samson began their career at PwC, where they held various roles including Manager of Technology Advisory Services and Senior Consultant of Technology Advisory Services. Additionally, Maina worked as an Assistant Systems Administrator at MTN Kenya.

Samson Maina's education history begins with their graduation from Njiiri School, where they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study, from 1997 to 2000. Moving forward, they attended Kenyatta University from 2002 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Science (Bsc.) degree in Computer Science. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi from 2011 to 2012. In 2021, Samson completed a diploma in Executive Coaching from AoEC - The Academy of Executive Coaching.

Additionally, Samson obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2006, they became a Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) from Cisco. Samson later earned the Certified Public Accountant of Kenya certification from ICPAK in 2007. In 2010, they became a Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA. In 2013, Samson achieved the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. Lastly, in 2015, they obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA.
