Damon Polioudakis

Damon Polioudakis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics. Damon is currently working as a Senior Scientist II at Prime Medicine, Inc. In this role, they apply their expertise in computational biology to contribute to the company's research and development efforts.

Prior to their current position, Damon worked at Fulcrum Therapeutics as a Senior Computational Biologist II from January 2022 to June 2022. Damon also held the position of Senior Computational Biologist from March 2020 to December 2021 at the same company. In these roles, they were involved in the analysis and interpretation of complex biological datasets to support therapeutic target identification and drug discovery programs.

Before joining Fulcrum Therapeutics, Damon worked at UCLA as a Postdoctoral Researcher from June 2015 to February 2020. During this time, they contributed to the characterization of a microRNA-transcription factor network involved in the cross talk between cell proliferation and the innate immune response. Damon was responsible for data generation, processing, and analysis, utilizing techniques such as microarray, RNA-seq, flow cytometry, and basic molecular and cell biology techniques. Damon also had a role as a Molecular Biology Graduate Student at the same institution from September 2007 to May 2014, where they acquired a broad range of skills and knowledge in the field.

Additionally, Damon gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2008 to December 2008 and worked as an Associate at Texas Venture Labs from August 2012 to December 2012.
