Dewi Harjanto

Associate Director, Computational Biology at Prime Medicine

Dewi Harjanto has a strong background and extensive work experience in the field of computational biology. They currently hold the position of Associate Director, Computational Biology at Prime Medicine, Inc. since February 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Principal Scientist, Computational Biology at Prime Medicine, Inc. from June 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining Prime Medicine, Inc., Dewi Harjanto worked as a Senior Scientist II, Computational Biologist at BioNTech SE from May 2020 to May 2021. They also held the position of Computational Biologist at Neon Therapeutics from May 2017 to May 2020.

In addition to their computational biology roles, Dewi Harjanto has gained experience through various internships and fellowships. They worked as a Business Development Intern at Mount Sinai Innovation Partners from October 2016 to April 2017. They also served as a Post-doctoral fellow at Rockefeller University from September 2012 to April 2017.

Furthermore, Dewi Harjanto has engaged in research work during their educational years. They served as an NSF EAPSI fellow at Hanyang University in June 2012 to August 2012. They also worked as a Graduate research assistant at Boston University from September 2009 to May 2012.

Prior to their graduate studies, Dewi Harjanto gained valuable research experience as an NSF REU fellow at Drexel University in June 2007 to August 2007. They were involved in performing a drug release study and synthesizing microparticles and nanofibers. Dewi Harjanto also held NSF REU fellow positions at the University of Minnesota in June 2006 to August 2006 and at the University of Southern California in June 2005 to August 2005. At the latter, they played a role in conceptualizing fabrication for micro-scale cantilever beams for implantation and evaluated the potential of parylene as an etching material.

Dewi Harjanto completed their education history as follows:

From 2004 to 2008, they attended Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering.

In 2008, they enrolled in The University of Texas at Austin for an unspecified period of time, studying Biomedical Engineering.

From 2009 to 2012, Dewi pursued their Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University.
