Simran Padhye

Simran Padhye has a diverse range of work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Simran most recently worked as a Senior Associate Scientist I at Prime Medicine, Inc. starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Research Associate, Biology at Eloxx Pharmaceuticals from August 2021 to October 2022, where they conducted cell-based assays and developed proteomic and genomic assays to understand the mechanism of action of ribosome modulating agents.

Simran also worked as an RNA Biology Co-op at Skyhawk Therapeutics from January 2021 to June 2021, where they led an independent project in the oncology team and conducted molecular biology experiments for compound screening. Simran gained experience as a Drug Discovery Co-Op at Cygnal Therapeutics from June 2020 to December 2020, where they managed a drug database system and performed drug screening and testing on mouse DRG.

In addition, Simran worked as a Research Assistant at Northeastern University from January 2020 to June 2020, assisting with research projects. Simran also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from July 2018 to June 2019, where they optimized the culture for the growth of micro-algae and worked on a project related to the production and pelletization of micro-algae for possible use as fuel.

Simran's earlier work experience includes an internship trainee role at Shefa Healthcare Pvt. Ltd in 2018, where they were involved in regulatory affairs, and a trainee position at Haffkine Institute for Training, Research & Testing in 2017, where they received training in virology and immunology techniques.

Simran Padhye pursued their Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Northeastern University from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College in Mumbai from 2015 to 2019.
