Clare O'Neil

Clare O'Neil serves as the Group Chief Operations Officer at Primedia Group since May 2022, having founded and led OUT/side, a broadcast consulting firm, and acted as a Director of MMAP, which focuses on outdoor sales. O'Neil's initiatives have created employment and training opportunities for young South African women. Previously, O'Neil held the position of Group COO at SABC from January 2001 to January 2005, where responsibilities included developing sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue goals. O'Neil also served as Managing Director at Initiative Media South Africa from January 2000 to January 2001, overseeing media planning and buying for major clients, and as Commercial Sales Director at Midi Television - e.tv from January 1997 to January 1999, contributing to the successful bid for a free-to-air license. O'Neil holds a degree from the Global Executive Development Programme at GIBS Business School and an IMM Certificate in Marketing Management from Wits Technikon/Damelin.
