Hyojung Garland, AICP, LEED AP, serves as the Supervisor of the Development Review Division at the Prince George's County Planning Department since October 2023, leading a team focused on urban planning and regulatory compliance. Prior to this role, Hyojung was the Supervisor of the Park Planning and Stewardship Division at M-NCPPC, managing long-range planning and park design initiatives from May 2018 to October 2023. Hyojung has held positions in various organizations, including Deputy Director for the Town of Vienna, VA Government, Revitalization Program Manager for the Office of Community Revitalization, Senior Planner at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, and Urban Designer at Torti Gallas and Partners, Inc., among others. Hyojung holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Horticultural Science from Seoul National University.
