Chief Financial Officer at Novant Health UVA Health System

Chuck Coder serves as chief financial officer of Novant Health UVA Health System and is responsible for financial operations of the entire joint operating company which includes Culpeper Medical Center, Haymarket Medical Center and Prince William Medical Center, as well as the System’s three ambulatory surgery centers, multiple employed physician clinics throughout the region, imaging facilities, Novant Health UVA Health System Cancer Center and Novant Health UVA Health System Caton Merchant House, an assisted living facility. Since joining Novant Health UVA Health System in April of 2016, Coder has served as the primary financial liaison to both parent partner organizations.

Prior to joining Novant Health UVA Health System, Coder held executive financial leadership roles with healthcare systems across the country. At Community Health System, Coder served as market chief financial officer of the Virginia Region where he was responsible for all financial operations of the system’s three Virginia hospitals. Coder also previously served as chief financial officer for South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Alabama, and chief financial officer at Spring Hill Regional Hospital in Spring Hill, Florida.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the University of West Florida.
