Isabel Maples

Isabel Maples is a seasoned nutrition professional with extensive experience in various settings, including healthcare, education, and community outreach. Currently serving as a Bariatric Coordinator at UVA Health since September 2022, Isabel previously worked as a Bariatric Navigator at Fauquier Health and has held multiple roles as a dietitian, including positions at Hospice Compassus and Falcons Landing Military Retirement Community. With a strong background in nutrition communication, Isabel has also been a media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the National Dairy Council. Isabel holds a BSPH in Public Health Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.Ed. in Sports Nutrition and Wellness from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
