Sheng Zhu

Sheng Zhu, PhD CFA ACCA, is an experienced investment risk management professional currently serving as a Senior Investment Risk Manager and Designated Person for Fund Risk Management at Principal Asset Management since December 2023. As a member of the Irish Funds Working Group and Project Group, Sheng has contributed to the Investment Risk Working Group since August 2025 and the Eligible Assets Directive Project Group since May 2024, both representing Principal Asset Management. Previously, Sheng held key positions at Alter Domus, Fidelity International, and WTW, with responsibilities including operational risk management and investment risk oversight. Sheng's academic foundation is rooted in a PhD in Economics from University College Cork, earned between 2013 and 2017.
