Cristian Barrena Salinas

Cristian Barrena Salinas is an experienced financial professional currently serving as the Head of Wealth Management and Private Wealth Management Specialist at Principal Chile since January 2023. Prior to this role, Cristian held the position of Subgerente de operaciones e inversiones at ValueCapital SPA, where responsibilities included generating investment recommendations and managing a portfolio totaling US$ 100 million. Cristian also worked as WM Associate Director at BTG Pactual Chile, advising high-net-worth clients and successfully increasing managed assets by $15 billion over one year. Earlier career roles at Banchile Inversiones included Sr Wealth Management Broker, where management of a $68 billion portfolio was key, as well as various trading and product analysis positions. Cristian holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and a degree in Commercial Engineering with a focus on Finance from Universidad Andres Bello.
