Curtis Marks has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Curtis started their career as a Paramedic at American Medical Response in 1999. Curtis then joined Puckett EMS in 2001, where they worked as a Paramedic, Field Training Officer, and later became an Operations Supervisor. During their time at Puckett EMS, they also served as a Policy Development and Accreditation Specialist from 2007 to 2019. In 2019, Curtis joined Priority Ambulance as a Corporate Claims Manager. In this role, they were responsible for supervising and motivating employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing quality improvement strategies, and overseeing safety and risk management. Curtis also served as a paramedic for community events and filled open shifts as needed at Priority Ambulance.

Curtis Marks obtained a Certificate in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) from Gwinnett Technical College between the years 1997 and 1999. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications throughout their career. This includes becoming a Paramedic through the Georgia Department of Public Health in September 1999. Curtis further obtained certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (September 1999), Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (September 2000), Assessment and Treatment of Trauma (July 2002), Basic Life Support Instructor (January 2008), and Safety and Health Management from Georgia Tech Professional Education in September 2014. Most recently, in June 2015, Curtis obtained the Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer certification from NAAC, Inc.
