Joe Loner, CFO, CPA, CGMA

Joe Loner is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Priority Power, an independent energy management and consulting firm. In this role, they collaborate with the senior management team and Board to provide insights into the organization's strategic vision and execution. Joe is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, M&A, and investor relations functions.

Prior to their current role, Joe held various positions at GridLiance, starting as the Vice President Finance before being promoted to Vice President Finance and Treasurer. Joe played a pivotal role in the sale process of GridLiance and was directly involved in the evaluation, signing, and closing of multiple acquisitions. Joe was responsible for financial planning and analysis, transaction modeling and support, treasury, and debt compliance. During their tenure, they improved the quality of analytics, forecast accuracy, and reduced reporting cycle time.

Before joining GridLiance, Joe worked at Panda Power Funds, where they held the positions of Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, Acting CFO, and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Joe led the FP&A and Treasury functions for the firm, overseeing the development, acquisition, and financing of natural gas and solar power generation investments. Joe established core operating rhythms, created performance KPIs, and developed financial models for evaluating business performance and strategic planning.

Joe also served as the Global Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for Nexeo Solutions, where they managed the FP&A function for the Plastics division. Joe was responsible for financial planning and analysis, supporting the division's growth and eventual exit from TPG Capital.

Earlier in their career, Joe worked at The AES Corporation as a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis and Senior Analyst. In these roles, they supervised natural gas and wind power generation projects, managed project debt, and supported asset divestiture activities.

Joe began their career at GE, where they participated in the Financial Management Program and held positions as the Manager of Finance and Financial Analyst. Joe successfully completed rotational assignments and received high performance ratings, as well as top honors in academic coursework.

Joe Loner, CFO, CPA, CGMA, attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2012, where they completed the Emerging Leaders Program. Prior to that, Loner attended The University of Kansas from 2002 to 2006 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance & Business Administration, with a concentration in International Business.

In addition to their education, Loner has also obtained several certifications. Joe is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from the AICPA, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the AICPA, and a Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) from GE.
