Terrie Carlton

Terrie Carlton, BSN, RN, has been the nurse executive for Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital since April 2008. She received a biology degree from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, a nursing degree from Central Carolina Technical College in Sumter, South Carolina, and began working as a nurse at Tuomey in 1991. She has a BSN from South University and her master’s in Nursing from Loyola University. At Tuomey, she has the responsibility for all nursing departments and ancillary departments such as Pharmacy, Respiratory and Laboratory. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and has served as a board member of the South Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders. She also serves as an advisor for CCTC’s RN program. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives as well as Sigma Theta Tau, a nursing honor society.
