Martin Janse van Rensburg has worked in the Human Resources field since 2010. In 2010, they began as a Human Resources Administrator at Uni-Cape Equipment (Pty) Ltd. Martin then moved to Old Mutual South Africa in 2012, where they held the positions of Senior Human Resources Consultant (National) and Human Resource Consultant (National) and (Regional). In 2016, they became the Owner and Head of Talent Acquisition at Talent Magnet | Digital Recruitment. In 2019, they took on the roles of Head of People and Senior Talent Partner & Engagement Manager at Prisma, where they work with an open source ORM for PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQLite.

Martin Janse van Rensburg has a diverse educational background. Martin obtained their MSc in International Management from the University of Reading in 2010. In 2008, they obtained their HonsBComm(Psych) from Stellenbosch University, studying Human Resource Management, Motivation in Organisations, Psychometrics, and Labour Relations. Martin also obtained their BComm(Psych) from Stellenbosch University between 2004 and 2008, studying Industrial Psychology, Financial Management, and Psychology. Additionally, they obtained a Cultural Transformation Tools certification from the Barrett Values Centre in June 2016, and a Regulatory Exam 1 certification from the Financial Services Board in March 2016.
