Samuel Habimana, BSc, MPH, PhD candidate, is currently a Research Assistant at Loma Linda University, School of Behavioral Health, since January 2022, while also serving as a PhD student at the same institution since September 2021. Samuel is the Founder and Executive Director of the Rwanda Resilience and Grounding Organization, established in July 2015, focusing on building resilience to trauma. Experience includes working as a Community-Based Protection Officer for Prison Fellowship International within refugee camps, providing support to individuals in challenging conditions, and serving as a Community-Based and Mental Health Consultant for World Concern, specializing in mental health capacity building. Past roles include research assistance at Save the Children International and co-founding a self-employed initiative. Samuel holds a Master's degree in Public Health and two Bachelor's degrees in Clinical Psychology from universities in Rwanda.
