Xuepeng Sun

Xuepeng Sun has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. From 2019 to the present, they have been working as the Director and Chief Data Scientist at Privafy, where they lead the analytical team in developing AI solutions for data-in-motion cybersecurity. Prior to this, Xuepeng worked at Acadian Asset Management as a VP and Senior Analyst from 2015 to 2019. They also worked at Verizon Technology as a Data Scientist and Distinctive Member of Technical Staff from 2012 to 2015. Before that, Xuepeng held the role of Assistant Vice President at ITG from 2007 to 2012, where they focused on institutional trading algorithmic design and analysis. They also worked as a Research Scientist at PHZ from 2004 to 2006, conducting research and implementing algorithmic trading systems. Xuepeng's earlier experience includes working as a Research Scientist at UCSF from 2002 to 2004, where they focused on radiation oncology research and optimization algorithm construction.

Xuepeng Sun pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from 1997 to 2002 at the University of Virginia.
