Justin Bala-Hampton has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and organizations. Justin began their career in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and Diagnostic Imaging Technologist. After serving in the military, they worked as a Professional Sales Representative at Merck, where they were involved in the launch of new diabetic products and participated in recruiting efforts.

Subsequently, Justin transitioned into the healthcare field and became a Staff Nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Following this, they joined UPMC as a Professional Staff Nurse, taking on the additional responsibility of Charge Nurse in the Trauma Step-Down/ICU unit.
