Product Design Engineer at Privoro

Sebastian Garcia has worked in a variety of roles since 2019. In 2019, they were an Undergraduate Researcher for the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative, a Subject Tutor for the University Academic Success Program, and a Research Aide for the Interplanetary Initiative at Arizona State University. In 2020, they were a Chief Engineer for the L'Space Mission Concept Academy at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. At NASA, they collaborated with engineers and scientists to design a concept lander to explore Enceladus, published a Preliminary Design Review, and modeled a lander design composed of more than 100 3D CAD components. In 2021, they are a Product Design Engineer and a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Privoro. In this role, they are responsible for product development and design, as well as DFM/DFA, FMEA, etc. for new products being developed. Additionally, they previously worked as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at LATÉCOÈRE, where they designed tools to improve performance and reduce the physical impact on workers, developed and tested 3D printed prototypes and products, established a process for recycling PET bottles, and created more than 30 CAD Drawings.

Sebastian Garcia has a diverse educational background. Sebastian began their studies in 2015 at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied Multicultural Education. From 2018 to 2021, they attended Arizona State University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Sebastian is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
