Pro Mujer
Carmen Correa has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Carmen currently serves as the CEO of Pro Mujer, a position they assumed in January 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Pro Mujer from February 2020 to January 2022. Carmen also served as the Chief Regional Officer at Pro Mujer from April 2019 to January 2021, where they played a key role in empowering women of low resources to reach their full potential.
Before joining Pro Mujer, Carmen worked as the Senior Director of Alliances at Pro Mujer from April 2017 to January 2021. Carmen also had a brief stint as an Independent Professional Consultant at Consultora from January 2017 to April 2017.
Prior to their involvement with Pro Mujer, Carmen held various positions at different organizations. Carmen served as the Adjunct Executive Secretary and Consultant at the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) from August 2016 to December 2016 and August 2015 to July 2016, respectively. Carmen also worked as the Program Director at Fundación Avina from January 2010 to April 2015, where they oversaw programmatic operations.
From 2000 to 2009, Carmen played a significant role in Endeavor as the Executive Director and Director of Operations. Carmen was responsible for the organization's various executive and operational tasks during this period.
Carmen's career journey started in 1999 as the Administrative Manager at DeRemate.com. Prior to that, they worked at the Inter-American Development Bank as an Administrative Officer from April 1992 to January 1999. Carmen began their professional career at the Organization of American States, where they served as the Executive Secretary from December 1990 to January 1992.
Carmen Correa completed a Bachelor's degree in Administration and Business Management from National Louis University from 1994 to 1997. In 1997 to 1998, they obtained a Certificate in Business Administration from Georgetown University. Additionally, Carmen completed a Programa de Desarrollo Gerencial in Administration and Business Management from Universidad ORT Uruguay, which ended in 2013.
