Magnus Tvedt has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Magnus is currently the Chief Technology Officer and Founder/CEO of Pro Well Plan AS, a startup that specializes in using big data technology to enhance drilling and well operations. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Flylogix, where they conducted market surveys and developed business strategies for drone operations in Norway. Magnus also served as an Industrialization Engineer at Aker BP ASA, where they developed a digitalization strategy for drilling and well operations. Magnus has a significant tenure at Statoil, where they held various roles such as Principal Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Engineer. In these positions, they contributed to field development projects, well design simulations, technology implementation, and research and development. Magnus started their career with summer internships at Schlumberger and Epsis, gaining experience in wireline tool preparation, drilling operations, and software development.
Magnus Tvedt holds a Master of Science degree in Reservoir Engineering from NTNU - Norwegian University of Science and Technology, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Magnus also pursued self-learning in Mathematics and Computer Science from 2012 to 2014 through coursera. Additionally, Magnus obtained a certification in Offshore Helicopter Evacuation NCS from Falck Nutec AS in 2006.
