Reuven Duer has a strong background in the diagnostics industry, with experience in both founding and leading companies. Reuven is currently the Founder and CEO of Proactive Diagnostics, where they have developed the Q-SENS platform for rapid detection of COVID-19. Reuven is open to collaborations and investment opportunities in bringing laboratory-developed tests to the point-of-care. Prior to this, they founded and served as the Chief Scientific Officer, President, and Board of Directors member of PLC Diagnostics, Inc. for 10 years. Reuven also has experience in the telecommunications sector, working as the Director of Customers and Applications Support US Operations at Lynx Photonic Networks, Inc. from 2002 to 2006. Before that, they held various roles at Lynx Photonic Networks, LTD, including Director/Product Line Manager and Project Manager. Additionally, Reuven worked at Jordan Valley AR where they served as a Project Manager, developed TEC cooled detectors for X-Ray Fluorescence systems, and managed a team of physicists and technicians.
Reuven Duer completed their education in a chronological manner. Reuven first attended Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel from 1984 to 1988. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Following this, from 1988 to 1991, Duer pursued their Master of Science degree in Physics at the Weizman Institute of Science. Finally, they attended the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1995 and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the field of 'Picosecond Carrier Dynamics in Semiconductor Quantum Structures'.
