Danny Mardis

Danny Mardis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Danny currently works as a Cyber Security Instructor at ThriveDX since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Advisory Security Analyst at ProAssurance starting from December 2021.

In 2019, Danny took on the role of an Organizer at ToolAssist L3C, where they managed all aspects of event organization for charitable organizations. Under their leadership, the company raised over $16,000 for charities and developed a framework for internet-based charity events.

From 2017, Danny owned and operated The Ironbear Group, a consulting firm specializing in IT and Cybersecurity Consulting, Employee Training, and Management Consulting. Danny also engaged in speaking engagements to contribute to the community.

Danny has also worked at NORCAL Group as an Interim Information Security Manager from July 2020 to December 2021, and as a Network Security Engineer from March 2018 to July 2020.

In addition, Danny has held several roles at Make Lehigh Valley, including Director of Public Relations from May 2016 to May 2018, and Chief Technology Officer / Coordinator from May 2014 to May 2018. Danny also served as an Information Security Engineer / Information Security Operations Engineer at PSECU from May 2016 to March 2018.

Before that, Danny worked as an Independent Contractor providing consulting services from May 2006 to July 2017. Danny has also held positions as a System Administrator at Korman Communities from January 2013 to March 2016, and as a Business Advisor at Architrep from February 2015 to September 2015.

Danny Mardis obtained an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Computer Networking and Systems Administration from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, graduating in 2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in November 2021 and the Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council in October 2017. Danny is also associated with (ISC)² for the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification, although the exact month and year of attainment are unknown.
