Tracey McDonald

Tracey McDonald currently serves as a Senior Claims Specialist at ProAssurance since June 2023. Prior to this role, Tracey held the position of Partner at Porterfield, Harper, Mills, Motlow & Ireland, P.A. from March 2019 to June 2023, and previously worked as an Attorney at Vernis & Bowling of Birmingham from March 2016 to March 2019. Tracey also co-founded McDonald Dotson Injury Law, serving as a Partner from March 2011 to March 2016, and worked as an Associate Attorney at Marsh, Rickard & Bryan, P.C. and Heninger Burge Vargo & Davis, LLP from 2003 to 2009. Tracey began the professional journey as a Registered Nurse at The Children's Hospital of Alabama from 1992 to 1997. Tracey earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Samford University between 2000 and 2003 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, completed in 1994.
