Rachel McLeay has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Rachel started their career as a Pharmacist in Three Lamps Pharmacy and Albany Pharmacy from 1994 to 1997. Rachel then moved to Adis International, where they worked as a Managing Editor for R&D Insight from 1995 to 1997. Rachel then worked as a Clinical Pharmacist in Various London Hospitals from 1997 to 2000 and at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children from 1998 to 2000. In 1999, they became a Senior Product Safety Scientist at GlaxoWellcome until 2000. Rachel then took a sabbatical as a Pharmacy Tech at Vancouver General Hospital from 2001 to 2002. From 2002 to 2011, they held various positions at Wolters Kluwer Health, including Editorial Manager, Commercial Manager for Pharma Solutions Business Intelligence, and Manager of the Wolters Kluwer Pharma Solutions Operations Team. In 2011, Rachel joined Auckland UniServices Limited as a Commercialisation Manager until 2018. Rachel then worked as a Consultant from 2018 to 2020 before joining ProCare Health Limited in 2020 as the Commercial Director & Head of Clinical Research, their current position.
Rachel McLeay completed their education in the field of Pharmacy at the University of Otago from 1991 to 1993, earning a degree in BPharm. Prior to that, they attended The University of Waikato in 1990, completing an intermediate year in Law/Health Science. In 2000, Rachel briefly studied Pharmcoepidemiology & Pharmacovigilance at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, without earning a degree.
