Scot Buessow has over 30 years of professional experience in the field of consulting and operations management. Scot began their career in 1987 at SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories, where they served as Technical Director and Director of Operations. In 1999, they joined QP Group as Lead Consultant. In 2004, they moved to Genentech, where they served as Director of R&D Sourcing. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing global sourcing strategies for lab supplies and capital equipment in Discovery and Translational Sciences, and Process Development. In 2007, they joined Amgen as Senior Sourcing Manager, where they developed and implemented a risk assessment process for raw material supply chain and supplier quality, and was responsible for the life cycle management of lab equipment and contract process development and manufacturing. In 2014, they became Owner of Canis Major Consulting, LLC. In 2015, they moved to Procurement Academy as Operations Director, Americas. Finally, in 2018, they retired from Canis Major Consulting.
Scot Buessow attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine from 1976 to 1982, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology. Prior to that, they attended the University of Miami from 1970 to 1973. No additional certifications have been reported.
