Prodigy Finance - who are we?
Prodigy Finance is a UK fintech specialist lender which delivers socially responsible financial services. We enable postgraduate students from more than 120 countries to fulfil their dream of studying at the world’s top universities and business schools while delivering competitive financial and social returns to institutional, impact and private investors.
Our borderless and innovative model enables student loan financing across the globe whilst using predicted earnings after completing an MBA or Master's. Since 2007, the Prodigy Finance platform has extended over US$2 billion to fund over 40,000 students.
We are backed by leading global financial institutions, including venture capital from Index Ventures, Balderton Capital, and Rand Merchant IH. Our asset-backed debt is funded by, amongst others, Citi, Goldman Sachs, Schroders, the US International Development Finance Corporation and the Canadian Pension Fund Investment Board. Prodigy also issues asset-backed securitisations, which Moody’s and KBRA have rated.
The company is headquartered in London and has significant operations and headcount in South Africa, India and the USA. India is the largest market where Prodigy’s customers come from, and the USA, by far, is the largest destination for universities that customers attend.
