Krates Ng

Krates Ng is an experienced technology professional with a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. Krates is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at ProducePay since December 2021. Prior to this, Krates held the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering at RapidAI from November 2018 to December 2021. During their tenure at RapidAI, they successfully expanded the team from 10 to 80 individuals and transformed the operation into 5 swimlanes with a quarterly release cadence. Krates also played a key role in expanding the product offerings from a single signature product to four growing product lines.

Before joining RapidAI, Krates worked at Invoice2go as the Senior Director of Engineering from October 2015 to September 2018. In this role, they were responsible for multiple product lines, including SaaS, Payments, and Consumer Financing. Krates also co-founded CliniCast in 2012, where they served as the CTO & Co-Founder until April 2015. CliniCast focused on promoting and enabling value-based patient-centered oncology care.

Krates also has experience as the Principal at Azabuka Inc. from May 2009 to February 2012, where they sold and managed software consulting projects. Krates recruited and managed a team of engineers to build a cloud-hosted software solution for a large company. Additionally, they co-founded Mokugift in 2008, an online tree planting service, and served as a Co-Founder until December 2011.

Earlier in their career, Krates worked for Wily Technology as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2002 to February 2008. Krates was responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and delivering packaged PowerPack extensions to the Introscope application performance monitoring suite. Krates also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Andromedia, Inc. from 1996 to January 2002 before the company was acquired by Macromedia.
