Rodolfo Barreda has a diverse work experience in the food industry. Rodolfo started their career as a Sales and Marketing Associate at Sysco in 2015, where they successfully managed and grew a portfolio of food service businesses. During their time at Sysco, they were able to quintuple the sales of their portfolio.
In 2018, Rodolfo co-founded and became the CEO of Puro Chef, a seafood sales and marketing business based in Lima, Peru. Rodolfo successfully grew sales from $0 to $90,000 per month by establishing a direct value chain from local fishermen to the food service sector within Lima. Unfortunately, they had to close the business due to the decrease in demand from their restaurant clients caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Currently, Rodolfo is working at Producers Market as the Business Development Manager for Latin America. In this role, they focus on developing agricultural value chain partnerships and transactions, working with various stakeholders such as producers, cooperatives, government agencies, non-profit organizations, distributors, brands, retailers, and buyers. Their goal is to enhance the livelihood of farmers and producers by providing them with more direct access to digital technology and premium markets.
Rodolfo Barreda completed their Bachelor's degree in Administration and Marketing from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas between 1996 and 2002. Rodolfo then pursued a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Accounting at the University of Technology Sydney from 2006 to 2008.
