Stewart Plain has extensive experience in economic research and policy advisory roles, currently serving as the Director of the Australian Government Competitive Neutrality Complaints Office at the Productivity Commission since 2008. Prior to this, Stewart held the position of Research Manager at the same organization, and served as a Senior Economist at the Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission from 2004 to 2007. Additional roles include Principal Consultant at The Allen Consulting Group and Director at the Productivity Commission, where Stewart also worked as Principal Economist at the Bureau of Industry Economics. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of Melbourne, majoring in Economics, Economic History, Economic Geography, and Economic Development.
