Mauricio Rodriguez Cortes

Mauricio Rodriguez Cortes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors. Currently, Mauricio serves as the Director and partner at Sprint Re MGA since July 2021, and has been an independent consultant specializing in property insurance and reinsurance since March 2019. Mauricio has contributed to academia as a lecturer in damage insurance at Universidad Externado de Colombia since March 1998 and previously held a similar position at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from June 2013 to May 2019. Prior industry roles include Senior Treaty Underwriter at Liberty Mutual Reinsurance and Vice President of Property, Engineering, Liability, and Marine Facultative Business at Aon Benfield Colombia Ltda. Additionally, Mauricio held key management positions at Swiss Re and Seguros Comerciales Bolivar S.A. Mauricio holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and completed a Senior Management Development Program at INALDE Business School.
