Brent Birckhead

Brent Birckhead is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in teaching and performance. Currently an adjunct professor at The New School since January 2021, Brent also serves as an adjunct professor of saxophone at Morgan State University since August 2014. As a professional musician, Brent has been a woodwind artist since 2005. Previous experience includes teaching music at District of Columbia Public Schools from August 2008 to August 2011 and serving as a woodwind teacher at TEAM Music from June 2008 to June 2010. Brent holds a Master's of Music in Jazz Studies and a Bachelor's in Music Education, both from Howard University.
