Petr Večeřa has extensive work experience in software engineering and leadership roles.

Petr began their career as a Software Engineer at Sencha in 2014, where they led the QA team and managed several products. Petr also had partial product management responsibilities.

In 2017, Petr transitioned to a Software Engineering Lead role at Sencha, where they oversaw software development projects and teams.

From 2018 to 2018, they worked as a Release Engineer at Avast, leading a contracted team and managing release engineering tasks.

In 2019, they joined Divvy | Inc. as a Software Engineer and Manager, responsible for a team of 12 people working on projects for Divvypay. Petr also worked as an Elixir Backend Developer in a fintech startup during this time.

In 2020, Petr joined IndyKite as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on the architecture and deployment of highly secure k8s clusters. Petr also worked on JavaScript development projects.

From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Performance Engineer at GoodData, specializing in performance testing and optimization.

Petr also worked as a University Lecturer at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava from 2021, teaching subjects on JavaScript full-stack development.

In 2022, they took on the role of Senior Software Engineer at Edgio, where they continue to contribute their expertise.

Currently, Petr is serving as the Chief Technology Officer at profiq, a position they assumed in July 2022. Petr previously held positions at profiq as a Software Engineering Manager and Software Engineer.

Petr Večeřa obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Technology from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Gymnázium Hranice from 2005 to 2011. In terms of additional certifications, Petr Večeřa has obtained various certificates in project management and Google Cloud Platform. Petr completed the Basics of Project Management course at UC Irvine through Coursera in April 2019, along with the Developing Applications with Google Cloud Platform Specialization and Google Cloud Platform: Core Infrastructure courses also offered by Coursera, in the same month and year.
