Adv Jj Crouse

Adv Crouse has held private Advocate chambers in the Western Cape, inter alia, specialising in medico-legal matters, alternative dispute resolutions and labour law since 2017. Prior to his current activities, for 10 years Adv Crouse held various managing executive roles in the corporate healthcare environment with, inter alia, niche medical provision funds, including at Barclays Africa Consultants and Actuaries. Before joining Barclays Africa, he served for eight years as a Senior Judge in terms of the Military Courts Act promulgated in 1999 after practising in the legal profession for many years and also having flown as a qualified pilot for two airlines. Adv Crouse is also an acknowledged international authority in the fields of medical ethics, international humanitarian law and “Medicine and the Law”. His unique contribution to this field currently includes being the Senior Legal Advisor to the Secretary General and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM), based in Brussels, Belgium. Adv Crouse is also the Head of an international course of ICMM, which has been presented to medical practitioners for the past 15 years in various countries.
