Lu Zhang has a strong background in software engineering and data science. They are currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Profusa since January 2023. In this role, Lu is responsible for overseeing software engineering activities. Prior to this, Lu worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Profusa from June 2021 to December 2022. Here, they developed and deployed continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) algorithms and designed glucose monitoring systems using cloud solutions. Lu also has experience as a Senior R&D Engineer at Sonova Group from November 2017 to June 2021, where they focused on developing deep learning algorithms for cardiovascular health monitoring and disease diagnosis. Additionally, Lu worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017.
Lu Zhang completed a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Chemistry from Tianjin University, from the years 2007 to 2011. Afterward, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, completing it from 2012 to 2016.
